This is considered by many reviewers to be the best Android tablet on the market. The Asus Transformer is more than a tablet when you combine it with the keyboard dock. The Asus Transformer is available in a bundle with tablet and keyboard dock in some countries, or you will have to purchase the tablet and keyboard dock separately. When you combine the dock with the tablet you now have a netbook and the battery life is 10 to 12 hours!The dock will charge your tablet battery also which is a great feature. So for sure the keyboard dock aspect of the Asus Transformer is a big selling point. With that said, the popularity of the Transformer also comes down to the fact that it has been the cheapest 10 inch Android tablet.
When it came to market it was the cheapest available and it was only the Acer Iconia A500 that came to market at a price that was close to being as cheap. Even after being on the market for months, the Eee Pad Transformer is still one of the best value Android tablets on the market. From a build quality, the Transformer tablet isn’t the greatest build quality and isn’t the thinnest or the lightest. It is however cheap which is something that help people accept some of the build quality short comings. Face it, you can’t get a cheap tablet price unless there are some build quality compromises.
