The newest Asus tablet is the Asus Eee Pad Slider SL101. This isn’t your run of the mill 10.1-inch Android tablet. This is a tablet and keyboard sandwich. The keyboard slides out via a slick sliding mechanism and provides quick and easy typing for added productivity. Keep in mind the keyboard doesn’t have a touchpad so there will still be screen tapping during typing sessions. Asus Eee Pad Slider SL101 is a bold and innovative tablet design but with the price tag it may stay a very niche tablet.

The Asus Eee Pad Slider SL101 comes in 2 colors, either white or mocha brown. The specs are pretty much exact as the Asus Eee Pad Transformer TF101. As in a recent CNET review, they mentioned the Asus Eee Pad Slider SL101 is about the same thickness as two Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 and the Asus Slider is about the weight of two Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1. With that said, you are getting the compact convenience of having a keyboard that will be there when you need it.

Looking ahead to future Asus Tablet releases
If you think these are three pretty unique and innovative tablets from Asus you’re right. But it would appear they aren’t just stopping here. In fact, early 2012 will see the release of the Asus MeMO tablet which is a 7-inch Android tablet with a difference. It actually is a 3D tablet when you hold it in portrait mode! Otherwise it’s just a standard tablet viewing experience. The Asus MeMO tablet has some interesting phone elements and stylus input. We will expand on this upcoming Asus tablet in the near future. We think with a 2012 release date, it’s not quite finalized in our opinion. Will it have the 3D by the time they are set to release it? Perhaps, but perhaps not. So as the release date nears, we will make an addition here.

We’re not done! There is rampant speculation about the Asus Transformer 2 tablet and when that might be released. It’s hard to imagine another Transformer tablet coming out from Asus when they really haven’t even released the 3G Asus Transformer. We still believe the next generation Transformer, the TF201, will see an early 2012 release date.

We’re still not done! There is an upcoming release of the Asus Slate B121 which is just an Asus Slate EP121 in terms of specs, but it is a professional version. It has the professional Windows 7 OS, as well as many extra security and networking features and software. It’s in pre order status and isn’t available in all countries just yet. That says something because with the great speed of the Asus Eee Slate EP121 and Core i5 processor comes at a cost to battery life. You are looking at about 4 hours battery. So even with that limited and well known battery life, people really love this tablet. It comes with a storage compartment that holds a stylus for input. You also get a Bluetooth keyboard and folio case in the package. So even with it’s $1,000 USD and above price tag, it does come with everything you need. It’s been interesting since the release of the Asus Eee Slate EP121 in that it’s been in very short supply everywhere. In stock and then out of stock. Prices have been inflated as a result.

The price is supposed to be $999 for the 32GB model and $1099 for the 64GB model. Now we’re in September 2011 and there is a new model, the B121 which is the same except for a Windows 7 Professional operating system upgrade in addition to some other business, security and networking additions. Asus Tablet – Eee Pad Transformer TF101 – Android Tablet Review

This is considered by many reviewers to be the best Android tablet on the market. The Asus Transformer is more than a tablet when you combine it with the keyboard dock. The Asus Transformer is available in a bundle with tablet and keyboard dock in some countries, or you will have to purchase the tablet and keyboard dock separately. When you combine the dock with the tablet you now have a netbook and the battery life is 10 to 12 hours!

The dock will charge your tablet battery also which is a great feature. So for sure the keyboard dock aspect of the Asus Transformer is a big selling point. With that said, the popularity of the Transformer also comes down to the fact that it has been the cheapest 10 inch Android tablet.

When it came to market it was the cheapest available and it was only the Acer Iconia A500 that came to market at a price that was close to being as cheap. Even after being on the market for months, the Eee Pad Transformer is still one of the best value Android tablets on the market. From a build quality, the Transformer tablet isn’t the greatest build quality and isn’t the thinnest or the lightest. It is however cheap which is something that help people accept some of the build quality short comings. Face it, you can’t get a cheap tablet price unless there are some build quality compromises.

Asus Transformer Prime Thinner than iPad Review, Specifications and Price

Tablet devices increasingly heated battle between Vendors! In order to survive in this battle, all manufacturers are required to get innovated products. ASUS, for example, can be said that the Taiwanese electronics company has been quite successful with the first tablet device, the Transformer.

However, it turns out it does not make them happy. Now, ASUS is ready to launch the second generation Transformer, Asus Transformer Prime, with the specifications and features are far more qualified!

Jonney Shih, Chairman of ASUS, today demonstrated new tablet device Transformer their second generation successor from Asus Eee Pad Transformer. Asus Transformer Prime comes with a charming design. In addition, the tablet device will be present with a thickness of only 8.3 mm only!

Asus Transformer Prime will use a 10-inch screen, a mini-HDMI port, a battery that can make this device alive for 14.5 hours, and an SD Card slot. As a mainstay, Prime ASUS will arm with quad-core processor from NVIDIA.

Like previous generations, Asus Transformer Prime will use the Android operating system. Unfortunately, Shih still not disclose what version of Android will be used. Will ASUS Prime Transformer will use the new Android operating system, Ice Cream Sandwich?

In addition to some of the above information, Jonney Shih still not wills to reveal too many advantages from Prime Transformer. However, Shih vowed to reveal all the capabilities of Prime Transformer on the official launch of this product, November 9, 2011.

According to the plan Transformers Prime will be sold at a price range of US$500.

In addition, ASUS also offers accessories such as keyboards for US$150  which has a USB 2.0 port to be used in conjunction with these tablets. Tablets with 0:33 inch thickness has a microSD slot, 3.5mm audio jack combo and a micro HDMI port.

Initially, they wanted to launch this tablet in November 2011 with Android 3.0. However, with the resignation of this schedule, then this tablet will come with Android 4.0.
