Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830 Review, Release Date, Specifications and Features

Samsung-Galaxy-Ace-S5830As for the software that Samsung Galaxy Ace comes “equipped” with, it is Android 2.2 Froyo. If you ask me, that’s not a pretty big deal, as there are already phones that come with Android 3.0. However, the 2.2 version it’s known for having the most effective Android features, therefore users shouldn’t meet any problems.

Even though it’s said that Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830 is almost similar with the Apple’s Iphone 4 (whose White version has just been released yesterday), Galaxy Ace distinguishes itself through several features we are going to talk about in the following lines. The first sight
Surprisingly light, with a weight that doesn’t pass over 113 grams,  Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830 distinguishes itself with a sophisticated design and a plastic – metal looking – case. Moreover, the screen is set to work at resolution of 320*480, screen that you’ll see, is offering a pretty high clarity and a very good contrast between colors and shades. Now, even if Samsung it’s known for the AMOLED screens it has developed recently, Galaxy Ace has a LCD screen, screen that despite its nature, doesn’t consume too much battery. In fact, you’ll see, Samsung Galaxy Ace is known for the long life battery it comes with. Our tests revealed a good consumption and a good battery life.

Without Flash…

Well, there is one major disadvantage: ACE Galaxy performances aren’t high enough to support Flash, therefore Flash Player won’t be working. However, Froyo supports an Youtube App, application that allows its users to watch/upload videos on Youtube. However, major site like Twitter and Facebook and be accessed and used without any problems with Galaxy Ace smartphone.

3G connectivity

Another S5830 feature is the 7.2Mbps HSDPA for fast downloads over 3G, as well as the wireless friendly hardware, specially adapted for the 802.11n Wi-Fi standard. They allow their users to use the local unsecured wireless networks, therefore in certain situations, people can use Samsung Galaxy Ace like miniature laptops. Moreover, the Ace sports 5-megapixel camera can be used as a webcam or as a video camera, but only if the users pop in a micro SD card (that can go up to a capacity of 16 GB). In good light, the camera should be able to post even HD pictures, but only if the phone is stable and there isn’t a lot of noise image.
In our tests the camera was pretty good, with medium quality of the image. However, the display of S5830 is not so great as the iPhone 4 screen.

The test and review conclusions

As a conclusion, Samsung Ace Galaxy is one of the best phones on the market, especially as it has a long life battery, a strong and resistant software that won’t crack down very often and plenty of Android features pre installed. Considering that the only major disadvantages are only related to the similar iphone 4 look and the lack of the Flash player, Samsung Ace Galaxy S5830 is definitely money worthy, especially for those that want a smartphone that can really resist in time.
